PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-fogging agent consisting of a new ester oligomer having an excellent anti-fogging property and lasting property (durability) of the same as an active ingredient and also capable of imparting the anti-fogging property to a supporting material such as a resin product, glass product, reflective mirror, metal product, etc., very simply and easily. SOLUTION: This ester oligomer obtained from (a) a polybasic carboxylic acid component, (b) a polyhydric alcohol component and (c) a monohydric alcohol component or a monobasic carboxylic acid component used as a molecular weight-adjusting agent is produced by using a polyethylene glycol having 150 to 1,000 number-average molecular weight as the (b) polyhydric alcohol component, and the anti-fogging articles are produced by using the anti-fogging agent consisting of the ester oligomer as an active ingredient.
