The invention relates to a drain assembly (10) to be placed in a basin (1) to be used in particular in residential places, such as a kitchen sink, sink, washbasin, shower tray, bath, bidet and the like, including a waste (2) for connecting a waste pipe thereto, wherein the drain assembly at an outside thereof has been provided with sealing means (15) for substantially sealed connection to the waste, wherein the drain assembly at its inside defines a flow passage extending between an entrance that is open towards the basin and an exit that is open towards the waste pipe, and wherein the flow passage when in use forms at least a part of a water seal. |
