APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR KERNEL AWARE DEBUGGING

An apparatus and a method for kernel aware debugging are provided to easily detect and replay a transient fault temporarily generated for securing stability. An apparatus for kernel aware debugging includes a kernel aware conditional suspension point setting unit(312), a control flow information provider(314), a profiling unit(316), a multi task debugging unit(318) and a resource allocation information provider(320). The kernel aware conditional suspension point setting unit stops a CPU(Central Process Unit) during performing a specific kernel object on a specific position of a target system. The control flow information provider, the profiling unit, the multi task debugging unit, and the resource allocation information provider perform additional advanced debugging functions by using the kernel aware conditional suspension point setting unit.
