<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely executing processing in response to particular information such as copy inhibit without providing a sense of incongruity to an original. <P>SOLUTION: When the image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium on the basis of image data composes the particular information comprising an image different from the image data with the image data to form the image, the number of particular information items is varied with a size of a particular information providing region to which the particular information items are provided.
