<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can maintain a compensation accuracy of a color deviation at a desired level while reduction in the productivity of image forming is suppressed to a necessary minimum limit. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device of this invention is provided with a print head which has such a head structure as to support a plurality of LED light emitting elements arranged according to a predetermined pixel pitch p (μm) by a supporting body having a coefficient of thermal expansion u (μm/°C). The image forming device comprises the print head which alternatively drives the plurality of the LED light emitting elements to expose the surface of a photoconductor drum, a position compensation unit 40 which compensates an exposure position at the time of exposing the surface of the photoconductor drum by the print head, and a compensation timing control unit 41 which includes a temperature sensor 36 for measuring the temperature of the print head and controls compensate processing of the exposure position by the position compensation unit 40 when the amount of the temperature change of the print head calculated from the measuring result of the temperature sensor 36 becomes more than k times (k is an integer excluding zero) of p/u. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
