PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve utilization efficiency of resources usable by a signal processor while keeping high versatility. SOLUTION: When a user newly designates a sound effect added to music sound, a CPU 101 of this resource management device reads a program to be transferred from a ROM 102 on an instruction basis and transfers it to a DSP 104. Whether each instruction read from the ROM 102 should be changed in its content is determined by referring to a program address table stored in the ROM 102, and when it is determined that the content of the instruction should be changed, the content of the address part of the instruction is changed by using addresses of a ROM 106 in a DSP/RAM address table stored in the ROM 102. By changing the content of the address part of the instruction, the CPU 101 manages the resources used by the DSP 104. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
