A droplet applying apparatus is provided with a base (11) having a placing surface (11a) for placing a substrate (10); beam sections (41, 42) movably attached on the base (11) in an arrow (A) direction to the base (11); a plurality of droplet discharge sections (6), which are movably attached on the beam sections (41, 42) in an arrow (B) direction and discharge droplets to the substrate (10) placed on the placing surface (11a); and a control section (13) for controlling movement or stop of the droplet discharging sections (6). While one droplet discharging section (6) is discharging liquid, the control section (6) controls the acceleration change in speed change of other droplet discharging sections (6), which are in the vicinity of the one droplet discharging section (6) and moving, to be gentle.
