PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ball joint that has a simple configuration and is simply assembled even in a position difficult to access (work). SOLUTION: A ball head 6 is rotatably arranged in a hemispherical ball-receiving groove 4 in a socket housing 1 having a socket fixing shaft 2. The ball-receiving groove 4 is opened to the outside through an insertion port 5 opened in a direction orthogonal to the fixing shaft 2. A ball-joint plug 7 extended in a radial direction of the ball head 6 is arranged in the insertion port 5. A lock element 11 applies a pressing force to the inside of the ball-receiving groove 4 so as to further allow the ball head 6 to be freely movable through an insertion port 5 region. The insertion port 5 is opened to the outside in a direction opposite to the extensional direction of the fixing shaft 2 in the socket housing 1 by a rotating groove hole 8 having a width smaller than a diameter of the insertion port 5 and larger than a diameter of the ball-joint plug 7.
