摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for which a point defect caused by a TFT is repaired as a normal pixel and of which the display quality is high, and a method for repairing its defect. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with: a plurality of gate wires 1; a plurality of source wires 2; a plurality of pixel electrodes 12 arranged in a matrix; a TFT 3 having a gate electrode connected to the gate wire 1, a source electrode 4 connected to the source wire 2, and a drain electrode 5 connected to the pixel electrode 12 for each of the pixel electrodes 12; and a TFT 7 having a gate electrode 8, a source electrode 9, and a drain electrode 10 for each of the pixel electrodes 12. Further the TFT 7 does not have a section overlapping with at least one out of the gate wire 1 and the pixel electrode 12 in plane view, and at least one out of an interval between the gate electrode 8 and the gate wire 1 and that between the drain electrode 5 and the pixel electrode 12 is electrically unconnected.
