<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium capable of recording information with high information hiding property without decreasing the forgery prevention effect. <P>SOLUTION: In the information recording medium 1 formed by arranging diffraction grating cells 10, a plurality of diffraction grating cells 10 constitute one information recording area 5, wherein at least one of diffraction grating cell 10 among the diffraction grating cells 10 constituting the information recording area 5 is an information recording element, another of diffraction grating cell 10 among the diffraction grating cells 10 constituting the information recording area 5 is an information hiding element.
