PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel structure in which barrier ribs can be formed with a pattern and a height just as designed in a display area, without generating protrusions causing hindrance to adhesion of substrates themselves. SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel equipped with barrier ribs on one of the substrates, the barrier ribs are constituted of main barrier ribs arranged at a display area on the substrate and sub barrier ribs arranged at a non-display area outside the display area. The main barrier ribs are provided with a plurality of barrier rib parts extended at least in a first direction, and the sub barrier ribs are provided with a first barrier rib part extended in the first direction, and a second barrier rib part extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, and that, are connected with the main barrier ribs in the first direction.
