PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus for vehicles capable of displaying vehicle travel fuel consumption information, in a form that is useful and optimal for drivers. SOLUTION: A meter_ECU21 computes the instantaneous fuel consumption Fci of a vehicle, on the basis of a distance Li traveled within a set time (t) and the amount Fi of fuel injected, computes the average fuel consumption Fc of the vehicle, on the basis of integrated values L and F each of traveled distances Li repeatedly computed for each set time (t) and the amounts Fi of fuel injected, and displays the deviation in the instantaneous fuel consumption Fci with respect to the average fuel consumption Fc as fuel consumption information on a fuel consumption meter 13. The display on the fuel consumption meter 13 is performed by the swing of a pointer 13a with respect to a neutral position. The pointer 13a is made to swing in the positive direction by swing width, according to the amount of the deviation when the deviation has a positive value, and the pointer 13a is made to swing in the negative direction by swing width, according to the amount of the deviation when the deviation has a negative value.
