<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network printing system for enabling a printing device to print even when the cumulative value of the number of sheets to be printed by using a printing device exceeds the preset printable number of sheets when a user gives a printing instruction to the printing device. <P>SOLUTION: In a network printing system where a printing device 1, a host device 2 instructing the printing device 1 to print and a server device 3 are connected through a network for managing the printable number of sheets for every user to limit printing, the server device 3 is provided with such a function that whether or not the cumulative value of the number of sheets to be printed by the user reaches the printable number of sheets is determined each time the user instructs the printing device 1 to print, and when it is determined that the cumulative value exceeds the printable number of sheets by the printing, notifies the user that it exceeds the printable number of sheets, and prompts the user to select print setting so as not to reach the printable number of sheets, and when the user selects the print setting, permits the printing device 1 to print. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
