PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting rotation angle 1 which can avoid malfunctioning of an IC circuit, by preventing the IC circuit from being applied with static electricity. SOLUTION: A long hole 4a opening with a fixed width is formed in the center section of a stator 4 in the radial direction, and a Hall IC 5 is inserted into the long hole 4a. The distance L1 between one wall surface of the long hole 4a, formed in the stator 4 and the circuit surface of the Hall IC 5 inserted in the long hole 4a, and the distance L2 between the other wall surface of the long hole 4a and a lead frame 7 inserted into the long hole 4a are related such that: L1>L2. As a result, when the stator 4 is charged electrostatically, static electricity is discharged from the stator 4 to the lead frame 7 and is allowed to flow from the lead frame 7 to the ground via a terminal 8, thereby preventing the Hall IC 5 from being applied with the static electricity, and avoiding malfunctioning of the Hall IC 5.
