PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control building capable of controlling the function of a vibration absorbing member according to the deformation of the major structure of the building by installing a mechanism for absorbing vibration in the portion of the building separated from the major structure without assembling a special passive vibration control device and a mechanical vibration control device therein. SOLUTION: This vibration control building comprises building skeleton having a major structure A with main columns 3, 4 and beams 8, 11, wall panels 19, 19 closing between the main columns 3, 4, and studs 13 for holding the wall panels 19, 19 so installed between the main columns 3, 4 as to be able to follow to the deformation of the building skeleton by an external force. A high damping member 20 for absorbing the energy applied from the outside thereto when the building skeleton is deformed by the external force is interposed between the wall panels 19 and the studs 13.
