PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cleaning the bottom of water, in which a light emitting diode is used, which is made compact, by which the bottom of the sea or a river can be cleaned at a low cost, which can be made to float from the bottom and collect the sludge on the water surface and gives such various environments that a microbe or a small organism can propagate itself easily and the cleaning power of which is made high. SOLUTION: A central space 1a for sealing a battery 5 and a circuit is arranged in the central part of a pressure-resistant body 1. Light irradiation parts 3a, 3b, 3c, ... of the light emitting diode are arranged on the surface of the pressure-resistant body 1 and in a recessed part 1b and a projecting part 1c, each of which is formed on the surface thereof, so that light to be emitted has different wavelengths, namely, different colors such as red, yellow and blue. A weight Z is fit freely separably to the lower part of the pressure-resistant body 1 on a suspension axis 2a.
