The invention relates to a printer, especially a serial printer, comprising an exposure head for exposing printed images as well as a housing for the exposure head, inside which a lamp (18) is disposed that is surrounded at least in part by reflectors (11, 12, 13, 14, 36, 37) and emits radiation during operation, said radiation being directed onto a printed image plane (40) by means of the reflectors (11, 12, 13, 14, 36, 37), the printed image plane (40) being printable using photocurable ink. In order to be able to use such a printer comprising an exposure head for curing photocuring ink at the size of a table-top appliance for office applications, elliptical reflectors (11, 12) and planar reflectors (13, 14, 36, 37) are mounted within the housing of the exposure head. Furthermore, said aim is achieved by the fact that a fan unit is connected to the exposure head via at least one air duct which extends into a cooling air chamber (48) located between the reflectors (11, 12, 13, 14) and the sidewalls of the housing of the exposure head. |
