<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase of the power consumption amount and a decrease of the throughput while good image quality and image fastness according to recording contents are maintained by carrying out suitable selection of an ultraviolet curing type ink and energy application. <P>SOLUTION: Image formation is carried out while a color ink is made the ultraviolet curing type ink, and a black ink is made a non ultraviolet curing type ink. Ultraviolet irradiation is then performed. An image hindrance and a decrease of the fastness which noticeably appear when a recording duty is high, e.g., in the case of performing color reproduction by color mixture of ink of a plurality of colors, and as an ink amount left on a recording medium surface becomes larger, e.g., in the case of using what is inferior in ink absorbency or has no absorbency as the recording medium can be suppressed. Moreover, the increase of the power consumption amount and the decrease of the throughput which are brought about if the black ink is made the ultraviolet curing type ink and an ultraviolet irradiation system is constituted to match this can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
