ACTUATOR FOR RAISING HOOD OF AUTOMOBILE AND AUTOMOBILE HAVING HOOD RAISING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the miniaturization of a constituting member and improvement of shock absorbing performance when adopting a hood rear end part raising structure in an automobile.

SOLUTION: An actuator mechanism 200 as an embodiment of this invention is provided with a first cylinder 201, a rod 204 for raising a hood 101 by projecting from the first cylinder 201, and a lock ball 213 arranged along an outer periphery of the rod 204 in the first cylinder 201 to bite into the rod 204 when the rod 204 is pushed back. A ball diameter of the lock ball 213 and lap amount of the lock ball 213 biting into a projecting part are in prescribed ranges.
