<p>A portable communication device (14, 16) includes a first push-to-talk (PTT) actuator (52), a second PTT actuator (54) and a PTT processor (38) in operative communication with the first PTT actuator (52) and the second PTT actuator (54). The PTT processor (38) requests control of a PTT communication floor in response to user actuation of the first PTT actuator (52), and triggers (110; 130) a secondary action to be performed while having control of the PTT communication floor in response to user actuation of the second PTT actuator (54).
