The unit (30) has a gas bag (32), which is provided with a number of fastening brackets (41-45), where the brackets are arranged at an upper edge of the gas bag such that a part of the brackets stays away from the upper edge. A retaining unit is provided, which prevents sticking out of one of the brackets from the upper edge. The gas bag is retained in a hose-like casing in a resting condition, where the casing has several slots that are assigned to the respective brackets.
