<p>The inventive variator comprises a speed-adjusting mechanism in the form of a gear differential mechanism, the drive thereof, planetary frames including working (4) and balancing (5) frames, a frame guide (11) and a body (12) of rotation of the frames. The frames (4, 5) are meshed with a central gear wheel (3) and are located therewith inside the guide (11). The variator also comprises two working planetary gear wheels (6, 10) fastened to the frame (4). The wheel (6) is fixed to the body (7) through a gimbal drive (8) and an axis (9) in such a way that it is rotatable with respect to the frame (4). A wheel (10) is connected to a driven shaft (24) through a second gimbal drive (8), intermediate gear wheels (21, 22) and a gear wheel (23) and runs around the wheel (6). When a speed of rotation is increased or during the adjustment process, the frames (4, 5) are displaced with regard to the center of rotation of a drive shaft (1) by a centrifugal force, thereby increasing the radii of rotation of the wheels (6, 10) with respect to the center of rotation of the drive shaft (1) and modifying a transmission ratio.</p> |
