A system for treating food waste is provided to allow a worker to treat conveniently and easily the food waste, by automatically dewatering and crushing the food waste and decomposing the food waste using microorganisms. A system for treating food waste comprises an input unit(1) for discharging the food waste with water through a pipe line(2), a dewatering and crushing unit(2) disposed at an exit of the pipe line, a sweeping unit(4) disposed at an exit of the dewatering and crushing unit, a sensor(5) installed at the exit of the pipe line, and a controller connected to the sensor, the dewatering and crushing unit, and the sweeping unit. The sweeping unit decomposes the food waste discharged from the dewatering and crushing unit using microorganisms. The controller controls the dewatering and crushing unit and the sweeping unit according to signals outputted from the sensor. |
