A constant velocity joint with a tripod type is provided to secure stable power transfer, and to prevent increase of surface pressure by using polyhedral trunnions having more than two polygonal surfaces and having a plurality of contact portions with an inner circumferential surface of an inner roller. A constant velocity joint with a tripod type comprises a housing(20), a spider(21), an inner roller(23), a plurality of needle rollers(24) and an outer roller(25). The housing has three track grooves formed in a position divided into three sections in a radius direction. The spider is provided with three polyhedral trunnions(22) inserted into the three track grooves. The inner roller has a curved surface wrapping the polyhedral trunnions. The needle rollers are assembled in an outer circumferential surface of the inner roller. The outer roller is formed so as to be movable in a shaft direction of a track groove along a guide surface of the housing. |
