A brain biofeedback apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to heal a brain disorder by extracting unconsciously preferable colors and diagnosing the disorder based on the extracted colors. A brain biofeedback apparatus includes a headset unit(10), a brain biofeedback processor(20), and a color display unit(30). The headset unit measures a brain wave responsive to a color which is generated at the color display unit. The brain biofeedback processor is connected to the headset unit and controls the headset unit, so that the displayed color is changed according to the measured brain wave. The brain biofeedback processor extracts a specific color, which is responsive to a specific brain wave of the user. The color display unit is connected to the brain biofeedback processor and changes the displayed color under the control of the brain biofeedback processor.
