A preheating system for a ladle is provided to shorten heating time and reduce the consumed amount of energy by using air only during initial ignition and final cooling and differentially supplying pure oxygen according to time together with fuel. A preheating system for a ladle comprises a preheating burner(100), and an ignition section(200) that supplies fuel and air to the preheating burner(100). A heating section(300) heats the ladle by varying the ratio of fuel and oxygen supplied to the preheating burner(100). An exhaust section(400) interrupts supply of the fuel and oxygen and supplies nitrogen. A cooling section(500) cools the preheating burner(100) after remaining fuel and oxygen are exhausted by the exhaust section(400). A controller(600) is electrically connected to the elements (100,200,300,400,500) to control operation of the preheating burner(100), and supply of the air, nitrogen, oxygen and fuel.
