<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a small and stable optical element module in which an optical lens fixing part is hardly affected by an external force or the outside air. <P>SOLUTION: An optical lens 3 is arranged between an optical element 1 and an optical fiber 2 and is optically coupled therewith, wherein the optical lens and the optical fiber are situated outside a module package 4 in which the optical element is sealed, and are each independently fixed to the module package. Also, between the module package and the optical fiber, there is arranged a fiber holding base 13 having the optical lens contained inside. The assembling is performed in such a way that: the optical element is first mounted inside the module package and the module package is hermetically sealed; the optical fiber and the optical lens are then aligned, the optical lens fixed to the module package in advance; thereafter the fiber support base is fixed to the module package so as not to be in contact with the optical lens, then the optical fiber is aligned and fixed to the fiber support base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
