<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of suppressing the force to be applied to a head of an occupant with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A recessed part 44 capable of accommodating a head of an occupant is formed in a front face part 31 facing the occupant for an airbag 11. A lower side of the recessed part 44 forms a lower swollen part 52, and both sides of the recessed part 44 form side swollen parts 53, 53. When the airbag 11 is developed, the lower swollen part 52 is abutted on a chest of the occupant, the side swollen parts 53, 53 are abutted on a shoulder of the occupant while deformed and swollen so as to avoid the head, and the occupant is protected in a constraint manner. In addition, the upper swollen part 54 is deformed and swollen so as to avoid the head of the occupant, and wraps the head of the occupant together with upper portions of the side swollen parts 53, 53 to protect the head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
