CARBURETOR OF MARINE ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform launching operation with smoothly starting an engine when a ship is launched from a stern side with inclining a hull in a carburetor for a marine engine having a fuel pocket of a fuel supply system for starting positioned in a bow side at the time of mounting to the ship. SOLUTION: An opening part of a bypass fuel passage 4a is positioned in the bow side by a predetermined distance from a mixing jet 71 in a mounted state. The opening part 4a of the bypass fuel passage 4a takes a higher position than the opening part of the mixing jet 71 at a time of launching with keeping the stern side down and inclining the hull by predetermined angle. Fuel of at least quantity required for engine start is collected and remains around the opening part of the mixing jet 71 in the fuel pocket 60A when fuel in the fuel pocket 60A reversely flows in a float chamber 5 through the bypass fuel passage due to inclination at the time of launching.
