PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recovery rate of grains by adjusting the length and attaching angle of a straw rack placed under the discharging port of a threshing chamber. SOLUTION: The threshing and sorting apparatus is provided with a shaking and sorting shelf 1 composed of a transfer shelf 2, a grain sieve 3 having narrow attaching pitch, a chaff sieve 4 having broad attaching pitch, and a rear end back straw rack 5 arranged in the order from the front side. A front straw rack 8 extending to the nearly middle part of the chaff sieve 4 in longitudinal direction is placed above the shaking and sorting shelf 1 and under a dust discharging port 7 of the threshing chamber 6, and the ascending inclination angleθ1 of the front straw rack directing backward is set to be larger than the ascending inclination angleθ2 of the back straw rack 5.
