PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dealing with multi-path phasing in a radio multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) spatial multiplexing system. SOLUTION: At a receiver side, at least one antenna switching and/or combining means (121a'+b') is controlled to select a specific combination of different fixed beam antennas (121a+b) from each receiver-resident antenna array based on estimated values of channel impulse responses for wireless signal propagation paths. An antenna beam selection control means (129) selects a specific antenna beam combination so as to maximize the average signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratios of RF signals received via multiple wireless signal propagation paths and/or to minimize the correlation coefficients for different pairs of RF signals.
