The method involves attaching a set of dust burners (3) to a common primary fuel feed. A secondary fuel feed is controlled for each burner depending on the primary fuel feed of the respective burner depending on the local stoichiometry of the respective burner flame. Pollutant emission is measured at each burner and the secondary air feed of each burner is adjusted, to make the pollutant emissions of burners correspond to each other.
