An apparatus and a method for injecting grease are provided to liquefy grease by heating grease stored in a free chamber with a heating unit, thereby jetting constant amount of grease to a work. An apparatus for injecting grease comprises a grease supply unit, a grease storing unit, an air supply unit and a heating unit(80). The grease storing unit stores grease fed through the grease supply unit until grease is injected to a work. The air supply unit feeds air to the grease storing unit. The heating unit heats grease stored in the grease storing unit. The grease storing unit includes a free chamber(61), a grease path(62), an air path(63), a pressing cylinder(64), a discharge path(65), and a discharge control valve(66). The free chamber has a space storing grease. The grease path connects the grease supply unit with the free chamber. The air path connects the air supply unit with the free chamber. The press cylinder applies pressure to grease stored in the free chamber. The discharge path drains grease stored in the free chamber. The discharge control valve is installed to a discharge path. |
