A cooking device is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by decreasing the number of insulators employed at the cooking device. A cooking device comprises an ignition plug insulator(40) for generating spark for igniting a burner(43) when the cooking device starts to operate and then detecting that the burner(43) has been ignited. The cooking device further comprises an ignition section(300), which applies high voltage to the ignition plug insulator(40) when the cooking device starts to operate, and an ignition detector(130) that detects an ignition state of the burner(43) through the ignition plug insulator(40). A varistor(VR) is connected between a contact point, which connects the ignition section(300) to the ignition detector(130), and the ground. The ignition section(300) comprises a relay section(310) and an ignition transformer(320).
