DIGITAL BROADCASTING SERVICE SWITCHING APPARATUS AND METHOD

An apparatus and a method for switching a digital broadcasting service are provided to receive the optimum digital broadcasting continuously, by changing the setting of a digital broadcasting unit based on position information of a digital broadcasting receiver. A position information recognizing unit(10) provides position information. A service switching database unit(40) stores information related to reception of data broadcasting correspondingly to the position information. A digital broadcasting process unit receives and reproduces the digital broadcasting. A controller(30) controls the digital broadcasting processing unit to maintain the reception of digital broadcasting according to change of reception environment based on the position information and contents of the service switching data base unit(40).
