<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lypolysis promoter, a slimming agent or a cellulite-ameliorating agent which can promote the decomposition of accumulated adipose tissues to show a slimming effect and therefore is effective for the reduction or prevention of obesity or the amelioration of inclination to stoutness. <P>SOLUTION: The lypolysis promoter comprises a plant Huang Hua Cai (a plant belonging to the genus Hemerocallis) or an extract from the plant and a xanthine derivative as active ingredients.
