<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of an image forming apparatus and to reduce the cost, regarding the image forming apparatus including a drive unit and a paper discharge unit positioned and supported by a main body frame, wherein the drive unit includes a drive unit frame, a support shaft fixedly supported by the drive unit frame and a driving gear rotatably supported by the support shaft, and the paper discharge unit includes a driven gear which is engaged with the driving gear and rotationally driven with the rotation of the driving gear and a paper discharge unit frame that rotatably supports the driven gear. <P>SOLUTION: The support shaft 57 of the drive unit 55 functions also as a positioning member for positioning the drive unit 55 to the main body frame 6 while fitting in a positioning hole 62 formed in the main body frame 6, and also, the support shaft 57 functions as a positioning member for positioning the paper discharge unit to the main body frame 6 while fitting in a positioning hole formed in the paper discharge unit frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
