METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING CROSSLINKED ORGANIC POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing a crosslinked organic polymer having an amino group on the side chain under a mild decomposition condition while reducing energy consumption and recovering the component constituting the functional group to enable the reuse of the component together with the crosslinked organic polymer used as the substrate.

SOLUTION: A crosslinked organic polymer having an amino group on the side chain is brought into contact with an aqueous medium composed of an aqueous solution containing hydrogen halide and/or halide salt at 200-370°C and/or under≥0.1 MPa and <22 MPa pressure to convert the amino group to a free low-molecule and the molecule is separated from the crosslinked organic polymer to complete the decomposition of the polymer.
