<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector wherein unexpected ejection of a card by an impact of falling is not easily caused without spoiling operability of card insertion, although a simple countermeasure to slightly change the shape of the bottom face of the release passage of a cam body is only taken. <P>SOLUTION: The release passage 26 releasing the locking end of a locking pin from a locking spot (a) to a return passage starting part 23a of a loop groove 21 when a slider is pushed in from a pushing-in position is formed so as to cross the longitudinal direction of the slidable slider in the side part of a card insertion space. An inclined face 32 located between the flat bottom face of the locking spot (a) and a stepped face 31, having an angle of inclination to the flat bottom face of the locking spot (a), and slopping upward to the upper end side of the stepped face 31 from the locking spot (a) side is provided on the bottom face of the release passage 26 separately from the flat bottom face of the locking spot (a).
