PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay monitoring device capable of carrying out monitoring even in an ordinary operation without incurring a complicated configuration and sensing the ominous presence of a fault. SOLUTION: A base station 2 is provided with: a control board 21 including a base station control section 211 that outputs a sound collection request for instructing collection of operating sound of mechanical relays in the base station 2 and outputs a switching request for periodically testing switching of the mechanical relays in the case of outputting the sound collection request; and a monitoring board 22 with a board control section 222 including a discrimination section 222a that gives a sound collection instruction to a microphone control section 223 on the basis of the sound collection request of the base station control section 211 of the control board 21, allows a microphone 221 to pick up switching sound of the mechanical relay in the base station 2, acquires sound collection data by the sound collection operation by the microphone 221, and discriminates whether or not there is abnormity in the mechanical relays.
