PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor with highly reliable in operation of a security mechanism in high potential gradient design and capable of downsizing. SOLUTION: A metallized film 10 manufactured by forming a metal deposition electrode 3 on one of surfaces of a rectangular film is equipped with a first non-deposited part 5 continuously extending in a longitudinal direction at one of breadthwise ends of the film, and a second comb-shaped non-deposited part 7 having one end connected with the first non-deposited part 5 and discontinuously extending in the direction intersecting with the extending direction of the first part 5 to an opposite end to the side with the first part 5 formed, on a surface where the metal deposition electrode 3 is formed. Two overlapping pieces of the metallized film 10 are wound around a resin case. A capacitor element having a metallized contact electrode formed at both ends is accommodated, and thermosetting resin is filled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
