PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-treatment type toilet apparatus, which is sanitary, easy to use, simple in structure and easy to carry and compose, and which can be installed at an event place, a sightseeing area, a mountain cottage, various kinds of ships, etc. and can be constructed temporarily and utilized on the occurrence of emergency such as an earthquake as a simplified toilet device. SOLUTION: The self-treatment type toilet apparatus houses a fermented product whose spawns are aerobic thermophilic bacteria whose ideal active temperature region is not lower than 80°C in an excrement tub for treating discharged excrement. A toilet seat communicated with its opening is provided above the excrement tub, and it is preferable that the excrement tub has a structure capable of agitating the fermented product in the tub. It is preferable to use "YM bacteria" (R) deposited in the International Patent Organism Depositary of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology as the aerobic thermophilic bacteria whose ideal active temperature region is not lower than 80°C.
