PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact paper feeding cassette and a paper feeding device. SOLUTION: Upward slide of a body plate 61 is performed by interaction of a projection part 54 formed on a guide part 52 and a through hole 61a formed on the body plate 61 of a positioning member 60. The projection part 54 is provided with a first inclined surface 54a arranged above an apex part 54b and having height reduced toward an upper part. When a pressing lever 61b is pressed, an upper edge 61d of the through hole 61a upwardly slides on the first inclined surface by abutting it on the first inclined surface 54a. As a result, the body plate 61 upwardly slides (arrow B in the figure) in resistant to urging force of a spring member 62 and an engagement projection 63 also upwardly slides. Whereas, when pressing of the pressing lever 61b is stopped, since the body plate 61 is downwardly urged by the spring member 62, it downwardly slides and returns to the state shown in the figure.
