摘要 <p>The mold (2) has a shape matching that of the component being manufactured and is made from a material with a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The mold has a number of connections (4) with the steel substructure (3), allowing for movement. The mold itself (2), is made from fiber-reinforced plastic composite material. Glass or carbon fiber reinforcement is used. Its mean thickness is 5-6 mm. At least one connection (4), preferably in the center of the mold, is fixed to both the mold and to the substructure. The connections are orientated normally with respect to the surface of the mold, where they are joined to it. Their spacing is 200-300 mm. They are moveable bearings accepting tension- and pressure forces. They are threaded rods, and are adjustable on the substructure. On the side opposite the molding, the mold has reinforcing ribs. Bushes on the reinforcements, hold bearings supporting the connections. The substructure is made from steel, or an iron-nickel alloy. It is alternatively aluminum or an aluminum alloy. It is a frame with removable castors (5) and openings (6) for a fork lift. Hoist attachment points (7) are provided.</p>
