AGING TREATMENT METHOD AND AGING TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aging treatment method and an aging treatment apparatus by which excellent initial electrical characteristics can be provided to an electrophotographic photoreceptor in a short aging time. SOLUTION: The aging treatment method for an electrophotographic photoreceptor uses the aging treatment apparatus comprising: a long sawtooth electrode disposed opposite to an electrophotographic photoreceptor; a voltage applying means to apply a voltage to the sawtooth electrode; and a rotating means to bring the electrophotographic photoreceptor into rotary drive, wherein a voltage is applied to the sawtooth electrode by the voltage applying means while rotating the electrophotographic photoreceptor by the rotating means to feed a discharge current from the sawtooth electrode toward a surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor.
