PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering motor where amplitude of fluctuation can be made small, vibration can be controlled, and generation of vibration noise and operation noise can be reduced not only in a usual case but also in a case where mechanical vibration and electric vibration are given. SOLUTION: The motor includes a motor 12 generating rotational torque, and a motor cover 11 which stores the motor 12 and is fixed to a column. The motor cover 11 is provided with a yoke 21, and a flange 22 which is disposed at one end of the yoke 21 and is fixed to the column at a plurality of parts. In the yoke 21 of the electric power steering motor 1, at least one rib 50A (50B) is arranged on an outer surface positioned between fixing places with respect to the column in the flange 22.
