SURFACE INSPECTION DEVICE OF DISPLAY PANEL, AND SURFACE INSPECTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface inspection device of a display panel capable of detecting unevenness of the display region of a liquid crystal panel, within accurate range and shape. SOLUTION: The surface inspection device is constituted of a table 14 on which the liquid crystal panel 10 is placed, a transmission plate 20 which has a plurality of linear slit lines 24 arranged in parallel to each other, a surface light source device 18 for irradiating the liquid crystal panel 10 with a light through the transmission plate 20; a CCD camera for photographing the transmission plate 20 and a control part 22 for detecting the unevenness of the display region of the liquid crystal panel 10 from the strains of the slit lines 24 shown in the display region.
