PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally correct a white color temperature, depending on an area of a white region in an image. SOLUTION: A circuit includes a white color degree detector for detecting the white color degree from an RGB luminance signal; a white region area calculator for calculating the area of a continuous white region to be displayed on a display unit from an output of the white degree detector; and a color temperature corrector for correcting the color temperature of the continuous white region, on the basis of the area of the continuous white region calculated by the white region area calculator. In the circuit, the color temperature is corrected depending on the area of a white color in an image, and thus, the color temperature is preferably corrected even if the area is small or large.
