PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily assemblable and constructible antifreezing box heater which can prevent the freezing of a vertical drain pipe from a roof and a roof floor. SOLUTION: This antifreezing box heater 4 comprises: a stainless steel box 7 which is formed in such a bottomed-container shape as to have an opening larger in diameter than the vertical drain pipe 2 indicated by dashed lines and enable the fitting and insertion of a lower end of the vertical drain pipe 2; a heater 8 which is annexed to heat the outer periphery or bottom of the stainless steel box 7; a heat insulating sheet 9 which covers the heater 8, annexed to the side wall and bottom of the stainless steel box 7, in a surrounding manner; an outer case 10 which supports an opening edge of the stainless steel box 7 and covers an outside surface of the heat insulating sheet 9; and a block 11 which closes the bottom of the outer case 10, and which is formed in a shape larger than that of the outer case 10.
