A lighting testing apparatus for an LCD is provided to block light leakage to an outer edge of an LCD panel effectively to prevent deterioration of visibility of a tester. A first table(200a) includes a mounting portion(250) on which an LCD panel(600) is placed, and a receiver(A1) disposing a first polarizer plate(220) and a lighting unit under the mounting part. A second table(200b) includes an aperture(A2) exposing a display area of the LCD panel, and a second polarizer plate(260) is mounted on the second table(200b). An auxiliary polarizer plate(240) is disposed on a path where light generated at the lighting unit is emitted through the aperture. A probe unit applies a test signal to the LCD panel. A transfer unit inputs and outputs the LCD panel.
